Immersion stay in Lausanne
About me
Bonjour! My name is Melody, I was born and raised in Paris, but I have lived in Switzerland since 2017.
I live in the beautiful and vibrant city of Lausanne with my partner Bruno, and our beloved dog Pepito, a rare breed of Chinese-crested dog without hair (which makes him quite unique! ). He is very friendly, clean and well behaved so I am sure you will get along !
I am passionate about travelling and meeting people from different countries and cultures; thus, that is why learning foreign languages has always been very important to me. I have lived abroad many times and participated in several immersive stays (for instance as a student when I was living in Japan) and I can say that it has always been the best way to learn a language. I decided to share this passion by becoming a French teacher and welcoming my students to my home to offer them an unforgettable immersive language stay.
I am enthusiastic about art and culture so in my spare time, I love to visit museums of which there are A LOT in Lausanne, more than you initially think! I avidly participate in cultural events as well. On a different note, I also love to bike around in the city with my dog, walk by the lake, or just chill and read a good book in the sun.
Bruno and I are foodies, so we love to cook delicious meals together, in addition to knowing all the best restaurants and fun taverns in Lausanne. We will be happy to take you to enjoy some wine and cheese tasting or the traditional Swiss fondue!

The Flat and Nearby Transportation
Our apartment is located in the north of Lausanne, in a very quiet neighborhood near the forest. We are located in a secure building, on the 3rd floor with elevator. The neighborhood is very safe and calm, with a lot of families living there.
There is the bus down the street, and the metro 4 stops away, which makes it quite convenient to travel everywhere in the city in about 20 minutes.
The flat is very modern: a large living room with an open kitchen and lot of light, where you have a snacks/ tea / coffee anytime during the day.
The veranda is well- furnished with couch, table, and small aromatic plants which makes it the best place to chill or read in the sun and enjoy our special barbecue evening in the summer with a nice glass of rosé wine!

You will have your own room and private bathroom which is fully equipped with a shower, toilet, and sink.
The bedroom is very comfortable: a double bed, TV (Netflix access and DVD player for our collection of French movies), a large window with a lot of light, and a small desk where you can study.
